The Jury for 2011 met the December 7 in the lounge of the hotel Ibis has kindly allowed us for the 3rd consecutive year.

The jury's choice was determined this year with evidence that had never demonstrated at this point. 4 of the members had indeed ranked at the top of their choice the same collection, and this same collection was second place to the other 2 members!
It is in great unanimity that the "Villanelle" Arielle THOMANN (Guichen, in Brittany - France) were selected as the winner of the Award of poetic Edition of the City of Dijon in 2011. This collection will be published in 500 copies, and we will be happy to deliver 150 to the winner on March 19.

Three other manuscripts were particularly noticed by the jury:
- In proportion as I forget Maxime MORIN (Provins)
- Under The Stars Look Down, Yann THE CROWD (St Cyr sur Loire)
- Interior, Claire ROCCHI-KALFON (Tours)

Of the 41 participants, women were 12 in number. And the trend observed so far for the Award goes thus: a minority of participants, but finally a prize awarded to date 7 women to 3 men!
Manuscripts were received from all French regions, but also from Switzerland, Belgium and Canada. 30 of the participants we were totally unknown. Among those we already knew - at the secretariat level, the jury working on manuscripts anonymous - 6 were involved in price from previous years.

Jury Prize for Poetry 2011 Edition of the City of Dijon were: Janine
Bessis, Honorary Alderman, a biologist, president of the French Association of Graduates of the University
Marie-Josephe-Durnet Archeray, Councillor Responsible for public reading, honorary doctor of Dijon
Marie-Paule Rolin, Library Director municpale the city of Dijon
Guy Martin, a librarian at the city of Dijon
Amstatt Mr. Christian, Secretary Association of Friendship Poets, authors of 4 books poetic
Mendak M. Raphael, founder of the literary academic nemesis, former editor of Anthology

The opening price for participation in 2012 is of already made. Deadline for receipt of manuscripts: 30 September 2011.
